Kali ini aku akan membahas perihal tenses
Sebelum mempelajari lebih lanjut, ada baiknya kita mengetahui terlebih dahulu apa itu tense. Tense (verb tense) yaitu perubahan bentuk dari verb(kata kerja) dalam penggunaan nya di dalam waktu tertentu. Sec ara umum tenses dibagi menjadi 2 golongan besar, yaitu present dan past tense. Kemudian dapat digolongkan lagi menjadi present, past, continuous, perfect, dan future.
Berikut ini 16 tenses dalam bahasa inggris :
1. Simple Present Tense. Rumus : S + V1/V1+s/es + the rest of sentence
e.g : We play football every day.
She goes to school.
2. Present continuous tense. Rumus : S + to be + V1+ing + the rest of sentence
e.g : Sandy is working now.
Are you kidding me ?
3. Present Future Tense. Rumus : S + Will/ Shall + V1 + the rest of sentence atau S + To Be + Going to + v1 + the rest of sentence
e.g : I will see you tomorrow.
I’m going to tell him after this class.
4. Present Perfect Tense. Rumus : S + Have/ Has + V3 + the rest of sentence
e.g : I have studied English well.
Berthold has admitted his fault.
5. Present Future Continuous tense. Rumus : S + Will be + V.ing + the rest of sencente
e.g : I will be waiting for you.
You will be running from your house to school.
6. Present perfect continuous tense. Rumus : S + Have been + V.ing + the rest of sentence
e.g : I have been waiting for you this whole night.
Have you been waiting for me?
7. Present Future Perfect tense. Rumus : S + Will + have + V3 + the rest of sentence
e.g : Shinta will have studied English.
I will have brought enough food.
8. Present Future Perfect Continuous tense. Rumus : S + Will + have + been + the rest of sentence
e.g : We will have been studying for 4 years by next month.
She will not have been studying for 4 years by next month.
9. Simple Past Tense. Rumus : S + V2 + the rest of sentence
e.g : I bought some apples yesterday.
Did you love me ?
10. Past continuous tense. Rumus : S + To Be(past) + V.ing + the rest of sentence
e.g : I was eating breakfast when you called.
Were you studying last night ?
11. Past Future tense. Rumus : S + Would + V1
e.g : they would help us if we asked.
I wouldn’t help them.
12. Past Future continuous tense. Rumus : S + Would be + V.ing + the rest of sentence
e.g : They would be bringing some food.
We would be stalking our enemy.
13. Past Perfect tense. Rumus : S + Had + V3 + the rest of sentence
e.g : She had helped her.
Had you waited for me?
14. Past Perfect Continuous tense. Rumus : S + Had Been + the rest of sentence
e.g : I had been wandering around this town
We hadn’t been Surfing.
15. Past future perfect tense. Rumus : S + Would + have + v3 + the rest of sentence
e.g : he would have been success if he had learned hard.
I wouldn’t have eaten this whole thing if you hadn’t come.
16. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense. Rumus : S + Would + Have Been + V.ing + the rest of sentence
e.g : They would not have been working here for two years by the end of this years.
